Well as you can surmise, I’m a little late for the premiere of asdfmovie7 and the return of Desmond. But this was fun as hell to draw, and I’d figure I’d put in my all, and put in as many hilarities as we could! :D

I’ve actually read about this in a Biography about Tesla, apparently Twain would come over to Tesla’s place sometimes and they would mess with all the crazy inventions. :D

Snail Giveaway!!!

————————————————-

I said a couple of months ago that once I hit 200 followers I would try to do another giveaway. I was busy with a lot of personal matters, so that unfortunately didn’t happen. However, I recently managed to hit 800 followers, and to celebrate, I want to finally do that giveaway!

This giveaway is for three exotic land snail shells and a Japanese Kaiyodo snail puzzle/figurine. The figurine is of a tropical, operculate land snail, aka a primitive snail that has eyes on its head rather than on stalks, and has an operculum.

The three shells were all collected by me in Miami-Dade County in Florida. From left to right they are:

1.) Caracolus marginella - the Banded Caracol, a species originally from Puerto Rico that has established a very small population in south Florida.

2.) Zachrysia provisoria- the Cuban Brown Snail. This is a highly invasive snail in south Florida from, you guessed it, Cuba.

3.) Liguus faciatus - This is the famous Florida Tree Snail, and yes, it the same one that was one placed on the endangered species list a couple of decades ago. However, this shell was collected dead and was found faded and buried under leaves. I applied a coat of clear nail polish to it so it doesn’t look so old. Liguus tree snail have done extremely well in the last ten years and have increased in number so much that they are not considered endangered anymore. And I would like to note that not only was no snail harmed in the collecting of this shell, it was also not collected illegally.

Anyways, the rules are as follows:

1.) To be eligible, you must be a follower (new followers are welcome!). Each reblog counts as one entry. Likes also count as an entry. So, if you were to like and reblog this post, you would get two entries.

2.) This giveaway will be open until August 8th, so, about a week and a half. It will close at 12:00 am, PST.

3.) Once the contest ends, I will assign everyone who entered a number and use Microsoft Excel to randomly pick someone.

4.) I will then send the winner a message letting them know and I will request their address so I can ship it to them. Do not enter if you don’t feel comfortable giving me your address; I can’t send you your prize if I don’t have an address. If you have not responded after seven days, you will be disqualified and a new winner will be picked.

5.) You do not have to be a US resident to enter, but you do have to be aware of your country’s laws. I am not responsible if customs holds the package.

Have fun everyone!
